Installation for Aviatica Waltrovka, Praha.
Realization by Lasvit.
Genius loci of the Walter Motors factory was the main inspiring impuls for me. The history of the area where the automobile and aircraft engines were produced since 1913 brought me to the idea to create 7m long glass wall installation. It represents an aestetic biplane with the Walter’s most popular type of engine.
The installation in the main reception of the administrative building Aviatica is depicted in a form of technical drawing in 1:1,6 scale of the biplane Letov Š-18. The engine Walter NZ-60 is created as a metal replica with a two hand-made glass propellers. The graphical representations of wings serves as well as a signpost to Aviatica's two main aisles.
